Truck-based transportation on European roads is expected to expand by 50 percent during the coming 15 years. By switching to a modular system, two trucks would be able to do the same amount of work as three trucks do today, thus reducing the burden on the roads and improving the traffic environment. Volvo Trucks is today presenting the European modular system at an international seminar in Göteborg.

Volvo Trucks is introducing more and more cab and chassis parts made of in-coloured plastic to replace painted metal or plastic components. The new material has a much lower environmental impact and also costs less at all stages of production.
